A new Chairman at Rift Valley
Thomas Höegh has become the new Chairman of Rift Valley Corporation, beginning in January this year. Thomas has been involved with the company extensively over the last 12 months and takes over the chair from Guy Lafferty.
Guy has been involved with Rift Valley from its inception and indeed was critical to the development of the Group's investments in Sub-Saharan Africa over the last 20 years. The Group is deeply grateful for his service and is delighted that he remains an independent non-executive director as well as Chairman of Matanuska Africa and Rift Valley Forestry.
Thomas is a Partner of Höegh Capital Partners Limited and Chairman of Kebony, a wood technology company. He is a serial investor in tech startups; founder of Arts Alliance Advisors, Arts Alliance Media, LoveFilm, Metropolitan Film School and Growth Street. He is a visiting professor of Kanazawa Institute of Technology, holds a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. The Group is delighted to have Thomas take on the responsibilities of the chairmanship, recognizing this as a huge endorsement by the family of their investment in the company.
